The Role of a Governor
All governors have an important part to play in delivering high quality education for the children in the school. They are part of a wide partnership, including parents, staff and local authority.
The governing body is accountable for the conduct and overall management of the school. Governors are responsible for delegated money, standards of education, the curriculum, behaviour, staff and many other aspects. The role takes a strategic approach and delegates the day to day running of the school to the headteacher.
